Gem Circle Community Guidelines

Version: 2026-08-08-social-v1
Effective: August 8, 2026

Verified Gem Quest accounts receive a public score profile by default and eligible closed-test accounts may be connected as friends so they can challenge one another. You can hide scores, disable Gem Circle, remove a friend, or block a player at any time. Email discovery and Ready Rivals remain off by default, emails are never shown, and there is no free-text chat.

Connect respectfully

Search for, add, and challenge players only for genuine Gem Quest play. Do not repeatedly request, pressure, threaten, bully, stalk, target, or harass another player. Do not create another account to evade a block or continue unwanted contact.

Protect privacy

Do not try to enumerate accounts, infer or expose another player's email address, collect presence patterns, impersonate another person, or place private information in a username. Exact email discovery works only when the account owner enables it and never displays the email used to find them.

Play fairly

Do not use modified clients, automation, fabricated moves or scores, replay attacks, intentional disconnects, alternate-account farming, coordinated outcomes, or another exploit. Friendly and Rival Shard Duels use the same frozen arena, server-verified move replay, fixed deadlines, and the published Prism Duel Rules.

Requests, blocks, and reports

You can cancel a sent request, decline a received request, remove a friend, or block and report a player from their profile. Blocking prevents discovery, new requests, profile access, and new challenges in both directions. A block does not erase a submitted score or let a player escape an accepted Duel; that Duel completes or refunds under its server-authoritative rules.

Moderation

Xerosoft Studio may limit repeated searches, friend requests, invitations, presence, rewards, or profile visibility; remove an invalid username or showcase; reject manipulated results; refund or cancel a match; or restrict an account. Reports do not automatically prove misconduct, unsupported or abusive reports may be dismissed, and reporters and block relationships are not disclosed to other players.

Your controls

Gem Circle lets you control username and exact-email discovery, profile visibility, who may send requests or challenges, presence visibility, and whether you appear in Ready Rivals. Presence uses a short-lived foreground heartbeat and publishes only a coarse state such as online, playing, or dueling—not an exact last-seen time, level, board, opponent, device, or location. Sharing presence with friends does not put you in Ready Rivals; that directory requires a separate opt-in and broader presence visibility.
